In memoria a Gianni Pavan

With the expeditions carried out this summer on the Adamello Glacier, we wanted to honor the memory of researcher Gianni Pavan, who tragically passed away in an accident last May.

Gianni was a pioneer in the field of bioacoustics and an original member of the #USIE scientific committee, playing a fundamental role in launching the research activities of our project.

We chose to remember him through the recording devices installed deep within the Adamello Glacier, each bearing a graphic design dedicated to him.

Gianni Pavan was the founder of the Interdisciplinary Center for Bioacoustics and Environmental Research at the University of Pavia.
